How Okkana works

A bot watches one Binance market, checks its conditions against live data and fires when they're all met. Every trigger becomes a Signal, and Okkana keeps measuring what the price did next.

How a bot works

  1. 01

    Pick a market

Each bot watches one market, like the BTCUSDT perpetual, ETHUSDT spot or a quarterly future. The choice changes what you can measure: funding only exists on the perpetual, and spot shows buying pressure without leverage mixed in.

  2. 02

    Build the conditions

Each condition combines one of the 45 metrics, a timeframe and a threshold, like 1h price change below -3%. Add as many as you need and choose whether the bot needs all of them or just one.

RSI 1415m is at or below 30

  3. 03

    The bot fires

When everything is met, the Signal arrives with the value of each metric at that moment. If RSI stays under 30 for three hours, you get one Signal: the bot waits for the condition to stop being true, or for the cooldown to end, before firing again.

  4. 04

    See what happened next

For 24 hours after the trigger, Okkana measures the return at seven windows, how far price moved for and against you, and PnL after fees and funding.

45 metrics to describe your setup

The classic indicators sit next to derivatives data like funding, open interest and liquidations, all calculated from Binance data. In a condition, each metric can be compared in three ways.

  • Against a fixed number

For levels you already watch, like RSI at 30 or funding at 0.05%.

    BTCUSDTPerp

RSI 1415m is at or below 30

  • Against its recent average

Use it to catch what's unusual for that asset. "Volume at twice its average" works the same on BTC and SOL, without you working out a dollar figure for each.

    SOLUSDTPerp

Volume15m is at or above 2.0× the average of the last 20

  • Against another metric

Even from another market, to catch divergences like ETH dropping 3% in an hour when BTC barely moved.

    ETHUSDTPerp

Price change1h is below BTCUSDT Perp Price change1h

Every trigger goes into the bot's track record

The Signal keeps the entry price and the state of the market when it fired, and keeps measuring afterwards. Over time you can see which bots get the direction right more often.

  • Returns at 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 12h and 24h
  • Best and worst move while the Signal is open
  • Virtual PnL on a fixed notional, after fees and funding
  • No leverage, so one bot can be compared with another

The same asset has a different price in each market

Spot, perpetual and futures are separate markets, each with its own price, volume and open interest. Perpetual premium, future basis and annualized basis measure the gap between them and go into a condition like any other metric.

What each market can measure

Spot shows real buying and selling, with no leverage in the way. Derivatives add positioning: open interest, funding and liquidations tell you who went in leveraged and who got forced out.

Every futures contract is its own market

A Signal created on the December contract is measured on it until expiry and never moves to March. That keeps a futures bot's results from mixing contracts with different basis, and expired contracts stay in the history.
